Assistant professor Hakan Kaygusuz is the vice dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Altınbaş University, Istanbul. His research focuses on biopolymer applications, inorganic synthesis, chemometry, physical and analytical chemistry, and experimental physics.
He has two B.Sc. degrees in Chemistry (2008) and Physics Engineering (2009) and a M.Sc. degree in Chemistry (2011) from Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He completed his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bedia Erim Berker and Prof. Dr. Regine von Klitzing in 2017 and received a joint doctoral degree in chemistry (Ph.D. & Dr. rer. nat.) from Istanbul Technical University and Technische Universität Berlin. He received a TÜBİTAK scholarship (2014-2015) during his doctoral studies. Previously he worked as a research/teaching assistant at ITU, as a researcher at TU Berlin and as an instructor at Kadir Has University.
